What is a Reformed Baptist?

As Baptists we believe baptism is for believers only (Acts 2:38-41; Ephesians 4:4-6; Romans 6:1-4), that baptism is by immersion, that the Holy Scriptures are both inerrant and sufficient (2 Timothy 3:15-17; Romans 15:40) and consider them our only necessary rule of faith and practice. We hold to the autonomy of the local church, regenerate church membership, leadership by a council of elders, and only two church ordinances: baptism and communion.

As Reformed believers we have a very high view of God and believe Him to be sovereign in all things – including salvation. We embrace the historical doctrines of the Protestant Reformation commonly referred to as the “Five Solas.” We believe men are saved by grace alone (sola gratia), through faith alone (sola fide), in Christ alone (solus Christus), according to Scripture alone (sola scriptura), for the glory of God alone (soli Deo gloria).

Simply put, we are a Baptist church that puts the emphasis firmly on God as He has revealed Himself to us through the Bible.
